Synopsis
A testimony on mental health, self-care and professional support.
During the pandemic, Rocío was diagnosed with anxiety and severe stress. Through medical support, self-care, and education, she has managed to reduce the impact of these symptoms on her life. Her testimony highlights the importance of recognizing mental health as part of the comprehensive well-being promoted by Bienestar: Estar Bien.

Context
Created for Alianza Americas, a Chicago-based network of Latin American and Caribbean migrant-led organizations, this series was produced as part of the Bienestar: Estar Bien initiative. The campaign addresses mental health stigma in Latino and immigrant communities and highlights how migration, discrimination, violence, and political uncertainty can affect emotional well-being. Through personal testimonies, the series emphasizes community care, culturally relevant support systems, and access to mental health services as essential tools for healing and collective well-being.
