About Facing COVID-19 video series.
Created for Alianza Americas as part of the Somos Salud Initiative, the series was produced in collaboration with the Latino Commission on AIDS and the U.S.–Mexico Binational Health Commission Mobile Health Units through funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The initiative aimed to address health disparities in prevention, testing, vaccination, and treatment for COVID-19 and other infectious diseases among migrant and Latino communities.
The series was produced in five Indigenous languages—K’iche’, Garífuna, Q’anjob’al, Mam, and Haitian Creole—to help bridge linguistic and cultural barriers in access to public health information.
