Context
Produced in 2024 in the United States, BRAVE I: Building Resiliency and Vaccine Equity is a public service announcement (PSA) video series created for Transnational Villages Network Inc.. The series was developed to foster a culture of prevention, resilience, and informed decision-making within Indigenous-language–speaking migrant communities living in New York City. In collaboration with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, the project continues ongoing public health outreach efforts initiated in 2021 to provide culturally and linguistically accessible health information, resources, and services. Through a series of short-form videos, BRAVE I reflects on lessons learned from the COVID-19 emergency, addressing topics such as long COVID, vaccination during pregnancy, and preventive care during flu season.
